Ski Boat Driver Level 2 Award Courses
British Water Ski & Wakeboard aims to improve the standard of ski boat driving in the absence of any legislation or licencing system in the UK.
In many parts of Europe a licence is mandatory but not in the UK!
Why should I qualify if it is not necessary in the UK?
The Ski Boat Driver level 2 Award (SBD L2) is now recognised as the benchmark standard of driving skills at clubs throughout the UK
If you take and pass the SBD L2 course, you will be issued with the mandatory European counterpart - the ICC (International Certificate of Competence)
The majority of clubs in the UK require you to hold an SBD L2 for you to drive on their water.
If you wish to take a British Water Ski & Wakeboard Instructor qualification, holding the SBD L2 is a minimum requirement before you take a course.
As an SBD L2 holder you automatically receive a discount on our Approved Boat Insurance Scheme for your own boat.
As an approved SBD L2 Test Centre, we at Taplow Board and Ski can offer the training you need to obtain this award. We will be holding our next course on:
Friday May 18th
The course will run from 9.30am and should finish at approximately 5.30pm.
There will two breaks for coffee and a break of about 30mins for lunch, which will be in the form of a snack.
A minimum of two students is required and maximum of six will be catered for on each course.
